Blue Mountain

“Blue Mountain Resort and its amenities attract hundreds of thousands of people to the Collingwood Ontario area each year. The Resort has an incredible influence on tourism and is a major employer for Collingwood and the surrounding area. Blue Mountain employs 450 full-time year round with benefits, 1,700 winter and 150 summer seasonal employees.”

Projects:

 In the summer of 2006, we were asked by the vice president of The Blue Mountain Resort to design and build a 2.5 km hiking trail called Memory Lane. This took approx. two weeks. He was so pleased with the work that they kept us on for another twelve weeks, designing and building the following:

The Mogul Alley Trail – 3 kms - hiking only – 1 bridge

Route 66 – 2 kms – multi use – 3 bridges

Realignment of a portion of the Bruce Trail - hiking

Re construction of the original Route 66 – multi use

Autobahn – the lower section of a downhill mountain biking course
